What are we getting? Look out indeed! Citrus and resin jump out of the glass, dankly delivered from a heady combo of five hop varieties screaming in unison. The result is a superbly balanced beer that coats the palate with deep pine notes and sweet resin, brought together with a satisfyingly smooth bitterness.

When to drink and what to pair it with? It’s Sunday afternoon and you’ve just finished mowing the lawn, reward yourself for a job well-done and grab this ripper IPA. The smell of fresh hops pairs beautifully with the aroma of freshly cut grass. No matter when you drink it just be sure to follow Currumbin’s B.E.E.R. mantra – Be Excellent Enjoy Responsibly.

Who is this beer for? IPA fans that are looking to take the flavour up a notch, this is the beer for you. At 8% it’s got all the double IPA credentials but drinks with the smoothness of something much lighter. Both strong and refreshing, it’s an elusive combo that this beer nails.

Is this beer readily available? It was the first beer the Currumbin guys ever brewed and its popularity has ensured it keeps coming back again and again.

Why do we like this beer? These guys are really committed to their craft, and it truly shows in the quality of their beers. Small batch, sustainable and it’s even brewed using volcanic spring water. Most importantly, it’s just bloody good and that’s all you really need to know.

Our good mates Pete and Luke from Gold Coast's Currumbin Valley Brewing are two of the nicest people on the planet - and it just so happens they brew damn good (and fun) beer. They're famous for winning GABS Peoples Choice 2019 with their Grape Bubblegum Sour which instantly takes you back to the schoolyard - plus they know a thing or two about hops, stouts and sours. Keep an eye out for their farmhouse beers, which at the moment are few and far between, but they are👌.

And My Beer Dealer Eagle Junction is in Clayfield in Brisbane’s north (right next to Eagle Junction train station) with a killer range of beers, wines and spirits.

We’re Antoinette, Natasha, Matt and Simon. We’re good booze lovers just like you. We started our beery journey in 2013 when we opened the famous Brewski on Brisbane’s infamous Caxton Street. In 2018 we opened our first My Beer Dealer under Brewski, it’s one of the few drink-in bottle shops in Queensland and we’re super chuffed with it. 2020 was a big year for us, we launched our online store (you’re looking at it) and opened our second bricks ‘n mortar shop next to Eagle Junction station in Brisbane’s Clayfield (we’re super chuffed with it as well). Both of these have allowed us to complement our awesome beer range with our other passions of good wine and good spirits.
