"Our nod to a traditional Belgian style Saison. Using the solera method, we’ve further developed our farmhouse mixed culture to exhibit additional yeast driven esters and phenolics typical of the Saison style. We’ve kept things simple and strived for balance and drinkability. Our house culture has imparted a characterful yeast profile whilst allowing the complex subtleties of the malts and hops to shine. Story Over Style pours gold with a slight haze and lasting, effervescent white foam. Bright yeast driven aromatics are prominent with notes of pepper, orange, banana, and spicy clove. Malt character exhibits a subtle breadiness, a hint of malt sweetness with some supporting rye spice. A herbal and citrus hop profile compliments the beer’s complex nature without being overly dominant. Firm bitterness and a dry finish leave you satisfied and wanting more.
We were careful to ensure that the fermentation profile was the real hero in this beer. Nothing fancy, rather a balanced modern Saison with its roots deeply entrenched in the rich stylistic history of the style. Meet the Dealers
We’re Antoinette, Natasha, Matt and Simon. We’re good booze lovers just like you. We started our beery journey in 2013 when we opened the famous Brewski on Brisbane’s infamous Caxton Street. In 2018 we opened our first My Beer Dealer under Brewski, it’s one of the few drink-in bottle shops in Queensland and we’re super chuffed with it. 2020 was a big year for us, we launched our online store (you’re looking at it) and opened our second bricks ‘n mortar shop next to Eagle Junction station in Brisbane’s Clayfield (we’re super chuffed with it as well). Both of these have allowed us to complement our awesome beer range with our other passions of good wine and good spirits.
As we’re a small family run business we prefer to support other family businesses and small producers, ensuring that when you visit us it’s not the same old, same old.
