Pale Ales
A basic definition of a Pale Ale is an easy drinking beer brewed with ale yeast and pale malts. Sounds pretty broad right? Well it is. From the sometimes herbal and estery English Pale Ale to the hop-driven American Pale Ale defined pretty much by Sierra Nevada's legendary Pale Ale to Australia's own take on it, easy on the malt, high on the fruit - specifically passionfruit (you can thank Australia's own Galaxy hop and Stone & Wood for that). We'll also bundle up Golden Ales, Summer Ales and Session Ales into this category as well - because they are ales which are pale after all.
