The thing about Queenslanders is that you always know exactly where you stand. Well... that’s what you think anyway. There you are, nodding and grinning like an idiot while a hilarious insult hangs quietly in the air. Delivering mock submissiveness attached to a leveller that knows no rival. Classic Aussie – the sucker punch that feels like a pat on the back. Just like this American IPA, which uses Australian hops to deliver the knockout blow.

TttV is Newstead's middle finger to mass produced, bland, corporate swill. An American Style IPA that does exactly that. Well malted, well hopped, well tasty. Citrus and tropical flavours are the hero here, with a savoury maltiness to back up the bold bitterness. #SupportLocal.

BREWERY: Newstead Brewing Co.
STYLE: IPA
ABV: 6.4%

ORIGIN: Brisbane (Newstead), QLD

The Dealers' Review

What are we getting? Opens with a beckoning hop aroma. Citrus and pine share the limelight, washing over the palate with a balanced bitterness that finishes with fleeting notes of burnt toffee.
How should you drink this brew and with what?
Drink it with your mouth! Being such a well-balanced beer, it performs well in a variety of circumstances – from session to slow sipper. Drink it with a BBQ sausage in white bread or pair with an antipasto platter to help cut through the salty meats and cheeses.

Who is this beer for?
American IPA lovers who want an easy, go-to IPA which delivers on flavour. It’s not over the top, but that’s a good thing, as it brings the IBU’s without destroying your tastebuds. Would also serves as a good intro to the world of IPA’s for the uninitiated. When you’re ready to step up from the lagers and pale ales this would be a great gateway IPA to get you on the path to flavour-town.

Is this beer readily available?
Part of Newstead Brewing’s core range, this little beauty is always available.

Why do we like this beer?
It’s just a straight up, solid beer. An American style IPA where Australian hops do the heavy lifting. It’s not trying too hard, it’s a quiet achiever that doesn’t have to talk a big game, it just delivers.

Many Thanks from Dane, Dealer of Beer

Meet the Dealers

We’re Antoinette, Natasha, Matt and Simon. We’re good booze lovers just like you. We started our beery journey in 2013 when we opened the famous Brewski on Brisbane’s infamous Caxton Street. In 2018 we opened our first My Beer Dealer under Brewski, it’s one of the few drink-in bottle shops in Queensland and we’re super chuffed with it. 2020 was a big year for us, we launched our online store (you’re looking at it) and opened our second bricks ‘n mortar shop next to Eagle Junction station in Brisbane’s Clayfield (we’re super chuffed with it as well). Both of these have allowed us to complement our awesome beer range with our other passions of good wine and good spirits.

As we’re a small family run business we prefer to support other family businesses and small producers, ensuring that when you visit us it’s not the same old, same old. And by shopping with us we hope you get to feel good about supporting a whole heap of small businesses, just like we do. So if you do choose to buy through us, thank you from us and thank you from our family of suppliers (and thanks for reading this far, our copywriter is stoked).
