"Northern Lights is new cuvee composed on parcels from the heritage Vine Vale Vineyard of Wayne Ahrens and Suzi Hilder of Small Fry Wines. The Vine Vale vineyard consists of several very old selections from a time when the Barossa was mainly producing fortified wines. Some of the vines are from the original plantings in the Barossa and are over 100 years old.
Parcels of Grenache, Cinsault and Mataro were co-fermented with Bonvedro Juice over the top. The ferment was 20% whole bunches of grenache and cinsault. Gentle cool maceration of the grapes took place over three weeks and the wine was aged on fine lees for 11 months in fibreglass tank.
Northern Lights is light on its feet with fine tannins and acidity yet there is a sappiness of ripe Mataro and Grenache that brings depth and complexity. Ultimately red fruits and a very easy drinking and unexpected wine!" - Commune of Buttons

Meet the Dealers
We’re Antoinette, Natasha, Matt and Simon. We’re good booze lovers just like you. We started our beery journey in 2013 when we opened the famous Brewski on Brisbane’s infamous Caxton Street. In 2018 we opened our first My Beer Dealer under Brewski, it’s one of the few drink-in bottle shops in Queensland and we’re super chuffed with it. 2020 was a big year for us, we launched our online store (you’re looking at it) and opened our second bricks ‘n mortar shop next to Eagle Junction station in Brisbane’s Clayfield (we’re super chuffed with it as well). Both of these have allowed us to complement our awesome beer range with our other passions of good wine and good spirits.
As we’re a small family run business we prefer to support other family businesses and small producers, ensuring that when you visit us it’s not the same old, same old.
